Goa became state in which amendment

After a brief period military rule, on 8 June 1962, military rule was replaced by civilian government when the Lieutenant Governor Kunhiraman Palat Candeth nominated an informal Consultative Council of 29 nominated members to assist him in the administration of the territory. Dayanand Bandodkar was elected as the first Chief Minister of Goa, Daman and Diu. Goa became India’s 25 th state on 30 th May 1987.
